About Our Theatre

The Paramount Theatre in Downtown Middletown is one of the areas finest examples of community support for restoration of a Downtown Landmark, and for the extensive cultural development of the City and the area. It is a notable cornerstone of Middletown’s growing downtown entertainment destinations.

This beautiful 1100 seat theatre, built in 1929, has the finest acoustics north of Carnegie Hall, and serves audiences of all ages and artistic interests.


The Paramount has announced that due to the Delta variant and the recent increase in new Covid cases, all Live Show Audiences will be required to show evidence of their full vaccination against COVID-19 or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test, and wear masks at all times while not eating and drinking. Guests must show proof of vaccination/negative test and government issued ID at their time of entry into the Theatre with their valid ticket. Anyone unable to show either of these items will not be admitted to this event. Movie Audiences will be required wear masks at all times while not eating and drinking and social distance inside the auditorium.
