Paramount Pipes: Open Console & Concert at the Historic Paramount Theatre
Saturday, May 10 · 1:30 PM – Middletown, NY
Free Admission | All Ages Welcome

Middletown, NY — The mighty Wurlitzer returns to center stage at the historic Paramount Theatre as the
New York Theatre Organ Society (NYTOS) presents Paramount Pipes, a free public celebration of the
theatre pipe organ on Saturday, May 10.

Join us for a special moment at the Paramount Theatre as the New York Theatre Organ Society presents Paramount Pipes — a free, all-ages event celebrating the theatre’s Wurlitzer pipe organ, now taking the spotlight for the first time since before the pandemic.

The event begins at 1:30 with a behind-the-scenes virtual tour of the organ chambers, including a live demonstration of the instrument’s remarkable range of sounds — from delicate flutes to powerful bass.

After that, the console opens to the public. Whether you’re a curious first-timer or a seasoned player, the open console session invites everyone to sit down and play in a judgment-free, welcoming environment to experience what it’s like to play this fantastic instrument.

The afternoon concludes with a dynamic live performance by renowned theatre organist Dan Minervini at 3:00, showcasing everything the Mighty Wurlitzer was built to do.

Special thanks to the City of Middletown and the Paramount Staff for hosting this event and the Central Hudson Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists for sponsoring. More information about the chapter can be found at www.chvago.org
