Pattern for Progress is hosting its Main Street: Hudson Valley conference on October 6, 2022 at the Paramount Theatre. Communities from all over the Hudson Valley will present their successful projects and the planning efforts that boosted vitality in their downtowns. Presentation topics include: what it takes to put together a successful DRI application, a government’s uniquely active role in adaptive reuse of downtown anchors, urban trails, modernized zoning, community events and art, and more. The keynote speaker is Josh Bloom, who once worked at the national main street center and has done big revitalization projects in Miami, Detroit and Philadelphia.
